"Flores-Urbis" est une œuvre flottante et aérienne que j'ai créée en collaboration avec l'agence @chassagnacatelier, exposée cet l'automne dans l'historique quartier de la soie de Vaulx-En-Velin.
Inonder de poésie et de couleur le ciel de Carré de Soie, centre commercial de la banlieue lyonnaise, était pour nous une façon d'inviter les visiteurs à s'extraire d'un parcours urbain pour ressentir la douceur d'une expérience à la fois mouvante et contemplative.
Cette anamorphose monumentale s'inscrit dans la perspective urbaine sur 660m2 de ciel.
Clin d'œil effervescent aux décors fastueux des soieries lyonnaises, cette fresque textile en diptyque est parsemée de thèmes chers à l'ornementation néoclassique -fleurs, fruits, vignes, rubans-réinterprétés ici de ma touche pop et solaire.
L'installation est pensée sur le concept d'une immense trame en "pixels" de couleurs, inspiré à Chassagnac Atelier par les ciels de drapeaux traditionnels des rues brésiliennes. Ce système de trame rythmée m'a évoqué la technique de « mise en carte» de l'histoire du textile : le quadrillage préalable, couleur par couleur, étape fondamentale du tissage.
Les motifs ont été réduits à leurs contours essentiels, sans fioriture.
La couleur, éclatante et acidulée, prend toute son importance, révélant des ornements qui jouent dans la lumière et s'amusent de cette trame au gré du vent.
Caresse de couleur, les 8250 drapeaux de tissu dessinent, en s’additionnant, un paradis floral de 110 mètres de long.

After having designed two exclusive motifs, « Sea of Kumo » and « Snow Ikebana » for the Women’s 2016 Le Coq Sportif collections, Clémentine Henrion signed the last piece of her illustrated triptych for the brand’s Women’s Spring Summer 2017 sneaker collection.
« Paraiso Tropicalia » is a multidimensional painting composed on a rapturous zig-zag structure, a techno reinterpretation of tropicalism, otherwise known as “tropicália,” the psychedelic protest musical movement that revolutionized Brazilian music at the end of the 60s.
Confusing our sense of space, multicolored stairs trace a new perspective, an almost technoid vibration, an interweaving of references to South American textile cultures.
The florescent braids of Brazilian bracelets are woven together with black and white raffia trellises.
The flowers of “chita” fabrics, of Brazilian folk culture, bloom on these graphic lattices like roses climbing along infinite trellises in a Garden of Eden.
Floating in this ikat peppermint green lagoon, scalare fish glide among the highly colored vegetation of this exotic landscape.
The seaweeds are palm trees, the anemones are carnavalesque fans made of feathers and the flowers are birds-of-paradise.
The acid yellow stripes and the shimmering madras electrify this sub-aquatic jungle like lightening bolts in a psychedelic aquarium.
This collaboration has been distributed throughout the world in Le Coq Sportif boutiques as well as in a selection of multi-brand premium sportswear stores.

Design of an exclusive textile pattern for Le Coq Sportif's Woman sneakers collection
After several years collaborating as an illustrator for the French sports brand, Clémentine Henrion was given the opportunity to design an exclusive print for a limited series Women’s Fall-Winter 2016 sneakers collection.
This dream-like tableau entitled « Sea of Kumo», the « sea of clouds», was drawn like a vibrant and multicultural patchwork, interweaving narrative Japanese imagery and contemporary graphic textures to the refinement of watercolor painting.
The vibrations of this celestial sea engulf and reveal figurative Nippon motifs together with the shimmering beauty of Slavic floral embroideries. Let yourself be carried away by the flow and soar above this sea of clouds, floating between weightlessness and felicity, in the cottony softness of the sky and foam-crested waves, celebrating the omnipotence of the elements and the imagination.
This collaboration has been distributed throughout the world in Le Coq Sportif boutiques, Le Printemps, Citadium, at the Galeries Lafayette as well as in a selection of premium boutiques such as Colette.

Clémentine Henrion's first jewellery collection, Ein Stein On The Beach, was inspired by Allen Ginsberg's poem On Cremation Of Chögyam Trungpa Vidyadhara, whose words open a pathway between earth and sky, visions and sensations.
Each creation was inspired by stories of extraordinary journeys and explorations of the earth's wonders and meant to feel like a night flight above beautiful landscapes.
Designed as protections, the silk cuffs echo the scarves' bright motifs. Meticulously designed gilded brass pieces meet crystals in the rough, scintillating threads of Mizuhiki paper and reflecting rhodoïd fringes add to the collection in an alliance of natural and supernatural materials, minutely hand crafted, braded, and embroidered.
Clémentine Henrion’s collection, "Calypso Kanzashi", draws its inspiration from the art of the “kanzashi”, the breathtaking accessories used to adorn geisha’s chignons. Reinterpreting this handicraft while remaining faithful to its complex traditional technique, Clémentine had fun imagining new symbolism and designing narrative and offbeat subjects. Each piece is a veritable work of art, requiring many hours of work. Hundreds of silk squares are cut, one by one, and immersed in homemade dyes of varied and vibrant nuances. What follows is the skillful technique of folding by hand. The silk squares become petals that, once assembled, transform into incredible, tiny, three-dimensional sculptures that are totally unique.
This bestiary of creatures with enigmatic features and almost futuristic forms comes in a variety of spectacular broaches and hair ornaments.

I was invited to design an artistic installation for Bercy Village venue in Paris. I designed more than 400 hand-made kites which flew during whole Summer in Parisian sky, celebrating freedom and hope. My textile patterns symbolized the union of the sky and the sea, illlustrating an extatic vision of travelling upon the entire world.

"Voyage en cerf-volant " est une installation onirique ultra colorée, voyage immobile et immersion techno-pop dans mon imaginaire, créée pour Bercy Village sur l'invitation de @chassagnacatelier .
Nous avons donc célébré l'été dans le ciel du Cour Saint Émilion à Paris, pour lequel j'ai imaginé cette nuée de 400 cerfs-volants suspendus sur un parcours de 200 mètres à 6m de haut, défiant les orages d'été et offrant aux visiteurs estivaux un panorama céleste réjouissant ainsi qu'un peu d'ombre bienvenue.
Par leur candeur légère et leur destin aventureux, les cerfs-volants portent un message d’optimisme radieux et invincible, inspirant comme le souffle d’une brise d’été dans la lumière dorée.
Mes motifs sont inspirés de récits d'évasions spirituelles : l'exploration omnisciente du monde, des apparitions colorées hallucinées, la vibration des couleurs, les lumières éblouissantes, nous emportent dans ce voyage subaquatique illuminé et en apesanteur, du fin fond des mers jusqu'au Soleil radieux, frôlant des anémones phosphorescentes et poissons ondulants parsemés de mouchetis fluos et vibrants.
Les ailes des deltas sont pensées comme des vitraux, révélant un éventail acidulé de toile de spinnaker imprimée et d'effets de transparences en mylar. Leur structure en fibre de verre, solide et souple, soutient avec puissance ce bal multicolore léger comme un souffle.
Ces cerfs-volants ont été designés par mes soins et façonnés dans un atelier familial en Normandie, région du cerf-volant par excellence, dans le respect de la fabrication à la française et avec le savoir-faire technique de cerfs-volantistes passionnés.

Mes cerfs-volants sont repartis en septembre pour de nouveaux horizons : ils ont été offerts à des foyers d'accueil pour les orphelins et jeunes en difficultés, grâce à l'initiative admirable de la Fondation @re_enchantement qui oeuvre à embellir la vie des personnes en difficulté, "personnes qui sont les plus éloignées du sentiment d'évasion et de légèreté que procure la contemplation de la beauté. ".

À l’occasion des Journées du Patrimoine, Clémentine Henrion présente à Éléphant Paname une installation onirique ultra colorée, immersion techno-pop dans son imaginaire teinté de passions adolescentes et de rave culture. Un voyage initiatique scintillant, porté sur les ailes de cerfs-volants illustrés et conté sur les drapeaux mystiques d’un nouveau monde. Scénographiant l’envol d’une jeunesse poussée par l’audace de l’insouciance, Clémentine illustre les contours d’un optimisme à la fois radieux et révolté, exalté comme la transe d’une dernière danse au soleil levant, inspirant comme le souffle d’une brise d’été dans la lumière dorée.

« Ravers CASULA » : silhouette imaginaire d’une nouvelle divinité. Cette chasuble aux motifs célestes évoque à la fois la sacralité du vêtement sacerdotal et la simplicité du poncho de pluie, protection que revêtent les teufeurs lors des free parties. La chasuble symbolise la charité, l'amour qui enveloppe celui qui la revêt et fait également ici office de protection, de « petite maison » (du latin casula) pour les ravers auréolés d’extase dans leur transe infinie, dansant dans le soleil levant.
